How to survive fashion week?

Packing for fashion week has become a habit for me. I always take the same large Eastpak bag, and fill it with on the one side all my clothes, on the other side umbrella, shoes, books or magazines and beauty case.  I don't really travel light, because fashion weeks tend to be quite diverse in terms of daily outfits. Most of the times my day starts quite early, going to a first fashion show at 9.30 am. I may have several shows that day, a couple of presentations, an interview, a lunch, and maybe an important dinner around 9.30 pm. This means walking 15.000 steps a day (I don't have a driver or a car) and still try out the stiletto power at night. Fashion weeks are hard, because I walk in many directions all day long, and there's hardly a moment to relax. Here are the products that I pack in my beauty case. To be honest: they lift me up (also metaphorically speaking) and I couldn't do without them.

I have been a fan of Nuxe's Huile Prodigieuse for a very long time, and I can even say that I am hooked. I put the oil on my body and sometimes in my hair, just before going out at night to a late dinner. I love the scent of it, it absolutely invigorates me after a hard day's work (and a shower).

I bought this product after getting a massage in Club Med Val Thorens last December, and I use it as a mask before bedtime twice a week. The one thing I love about this product is that you don't need to wash it off. I admit I am sometimes dead tired and I come into my hotelroom and just fall into a coma.

I have a special knack for Caudalie, ever since I got a treatment in their spa in the Plaza Hotel in New York. That being a very glamourous moment, I tend to use the products ever since, thinking about the magic time I spent in the Big Apple. The Caudalie Resveratrol Baume Liftant Regard is an eye lifting balm which I put around my eyes in the morning, just before my day cream. My skin can be very dry, also around the eyes, so this one brings me more balance.

I discovered this product in Florence, where of course the Officina S.M.Novella is an institution. You can buy the original perfume that Catherina de Medici had made for her here, but I always go for the Gel Riposta Gambe, which I use in the morning or in the evening when my legs feel dead tired. During Milano fashion week I had two days with 20.000 steps (so my Fit Bit indicated). The gel came in handy.

Just before Milano Fashion Week started I received a giftbox of Radial, full of products to test during fashion week. I immediately picked out the masks, because I know that this sort of product immediately makes me feel better after a heavy day. I did try it in Milano and I must say: great stuff!

I must admit I regularly try out other perfumes, but this one is a regular in my beauty case. I often buy it when I fly to New York Fashion Week (the first fashion week in a row of four) knowing I will enjoy every second of my shower using the gel douche which I normally buy together with the perfume. Hermès perfumes have incredible scents and this one is absolutely the best.

Handcreams come in handy, especially when the packaging is not too big, so you can easily slip them in your handbag. I often use this particular handcream when I am on a plane. The & Other Stories range has caught my attention since the start: their scents are heavenly.

REN-Moroccan-Rose-Gold-Glow-Perfect-Dry-Oil-1903126-01.jpg

I admit to another addiction: the Moroccan Rose Oil by Ren. A dry oil that absolutely makes my day when I am away from home. Ren has very special products which I got to know better after a special spa treatment at Hotel Julien in Antwerp. I also felt that using this product my summer tan lasted longer.
